Inky
1) Is it possible to program for the 2600 on the ST? 2) Is the 520 STFM manual available online somewhere?
V.R
Inky I'm sure you could program the 2600 on an ST. Sice both systems deal heavily in assembly. I can't see why not. All you need is a 6502 compiler, which I think is available. Will be interesting to see if you get it to work. As for the manual, I wouldn't bother, as it only explains very basic things like inserting disks, formating and using GEM.
YarsRevengeFan
I too was wondering this question. In fact, I was wondering if it was possible on any Atari home computer. Given the products available and neccessary to program for the 2600, can it be done? My thought was this: "Wouldn't it be cool to make a 2600 game on an Atari home computer?" Then, when I got to programming games, I could put on the outside box: "Made for the 2600 on an Atari ###-XXX computer.
