Catbox&RGB output

As you know, the Catbox has an RGB monitor jack that will work with older, non-multi-sync monitors that operate at 15khz instead to the standard SVGA of 30khz or so today.

Anyway, it's hard to come by these monitors, most likely being an old Amiga or ST monitor, and then, even though you get a high quality picture, it's still on a small monitor, and I personally like playing consoles on as big a screen as I can get. So, I'm wondering if anyone knows if it would be possible to use the RGB port on the Catbox and make a custom cable that could re-format the signal for something like the newer component video. Even if it requires some heavy-duty electronic hacking, I'm wondering how close component video with it's three seperate inputs like RGB is to RGB?
