For example I have seen PAL ROMs for Donkey Kong... Donkey Kong (1983) (CBS Electronics) (PAL)[!] Donkey Kong (1983) (CBS Electronics) (PAL)[a1][!] Donkey Kong (1983) (CBS Electronics) (PAL)[a2][!] Donkey Kong (1983) (Pet Boat) (PAL)[!] In playing these only Donkey Kong (1983) (CBS Electronics) (PAL)[a1][!] and Donkey Kong (1983) (Pet Boat) (PAL)[!] work without a flaw. Now which one of these is correct? If you run both through Distella (or just compare the binaries) you'll see that they differ. Which one is the REAL PAL Donkey Kong? Those names are comming from the Good2600 renaming tool: [!] a verified good dump [a..] alternate rom version (some may be fixed ROMs and others just dumps with only a few bytes different in the bankswitching hotspot area (8K+ ROMs only)) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
