D.Yancey
I finally downloaded the newest version of MESS. I've never used it before. I am not a total newbie to EMU's, but I'm new to MESS. I put some Atari 5200 games on it to play. I cannot get my joustick to work at all and the keyboard controls are so slow to respond that it is unplayable. The fire button seems to work properly though! Can anyone give me an idea to help resolve this slow response time problem and get the joystick to work? Unfortunately, the 5200 emulation in MESS is rather buggy. I think most use Atari800Win for 5200 emulation. Mitch

Atari 5200 games will run on an Atari 800? All I need to do is load this "Atari800Win" Emulator and I can load my 5200 Roms to play on it? Atari 5200 games do not run on an Atari 800 but the Atari800 emu emulates the 5200 as well as the Atari 8bit computers. There's a switch in it to change between 5200, 800, XE, etc.. D.Yancey
Atari800win runs the 5200 games great. I cannot get all of them to load, but it's far better than dealing with the terrible gameplay in MESS. Thanks for the tip Mitch!
