Rob Mitchell
My Atari PONG IV did some strange behavior when we were playing over Thanksgiving. Whenever there was a score the wrong team score was incremented. My 9 year old daughter thought she was winning! Lemmi
havent had that happen to me yet, but i did have my roberts sportrama 8 pong system go buggy on me many times the controllers are hardwired to it with a colecovision type cord (but alot smaller), i jerked back to much and the controller went flying at the console and the next thing i know im watching a huge + symbol with a huge square dot on the screen and im in controll of the large + symbol, while the square just flys around the screen and i found out much later that i can repeat this any time by just pressing the 8 game buttons down at the same time, kinda neat but no play value at all
sebastius
If a pong does weird stuff, just unplug it, let it rest for a minute and try again. If it still exibits strange behaviour, then try resoldering al connections, reseat al chips and replace any blown capacitors. An Atari Pong IV is probably one of them 'modern' highly integrated pong on a chip systems. So if it still does weird stuff, i'd start looking for a replacement board.
