~llama
as discussed in this thread, I have started a new emulation project, called Heavy Sixer. Heavy Sixer is to be a 2600 and 7800 emulator featuring: - fully Win32 native - run games in windowed mode, not fullscreen (at least not by default) - easily configurable controls - several options for screen size (1x, 2x, 3x, etc.) - have some way to signify whether a ROM is for 2600 or 7800 - frontend containing data about ROMS rather than filenames - NTSC & PAL support, w/ Black & White mode - POKEY sound support - CPU speed adjustability - Network play - save state - PNG screenshots - interchangable color palettes note that there are (some are very) long-term goals, but the true aim of this project is to create an up-to-date true Win32-native 7800 emulator that's as nice as any out there. ~llama
well, since i've posted that we've decided that since we're already supporting the 2600 and 7800 it might as well play 5200 games too, but that'll probably just consist of adapting an existing emulator to be part of ours, our main focus is still 7800... We're currently in the process of coming up with a roadmap for the project, so no idea yet when we may have a working release, but it will happen
