I've always wondered what all the different models there were of Atari monitors. So, I've started compiling a list of known models and the basic features on them. Also, who manufactured them.

    PCM-125 12inch monochrome

    PCM-144 14inch monochrome VGA

    PCM-145 14inch monochrome VGA

    PTC-1426 14inch Color SVGA

    PTM-144 14inch paper white monochrome

    PTM-146 14inch monchrome

Possibly incorrect or non-existant model numbers?

SC-1225 Same as SC-1224 Samsung model?

    SC-1426

    SC-124

If anyone can provide more info about any of them I would appreciate it.

I'm not sure if all of them were actually produced or just rumored, any help on confirmed releases would help too.

Incidentally, were all Atari monochrome monitors paper white? Or were there green and/or amber monitors as well?

SC-1224 Samsung 12inch Color

Mines :D

Mitch nice list man I think you didnt miss any or so I say, I might be wrong but looks good to me!

Some monitors where intended for some type of purpose which was either Midi or Desktop Publishing... Didnt really offer one for the gamers though  but still those 12 inch are as good as it gets for some of the beginning/average ST users. I cant complain they did make good monitors (well not Atari BTW) but really mines was manufactured in October 1987 and we are in 2003 going into 2004 and its still going strong!! Eventhough I got it recently hope for good years out of my monitor.

The best gaming Atari monitor is probably the SC1435. :) It's the largest color RGB monitor that Atari made, plus it has stereo sound. The few 19 inchers were only monochrome.

PTC-1426 14inch Color SVGA

I have a PTC 1426 that I use with my TT030. It's a very nice monitor with a good picture. It's a shame I can't use it with the Mega STE, as I think it only works with the TT030 and Falcon.

Tempest

Yeah, from my research it seems to be one of the more common ones.

It has the switch to change between TT mode and PC/VGA mode, right?

It took me a little while to figure out the prefix for that one. I knew that the TT prefix meant for the TT series computers and that the PC prefix meant for the standard PC series. I finally figured out that the PT prefix meant it had a switch to change between TT mode and PC mode. :)

I'm guessing you could probably use it on your Mega STE in the monochrome High Resolution mode if you have the 13 pin din adapter plug. I don't have one though, so I couldn't say for sure.

Your best bet is probably to watch ebay and when you see one email the seller and ask if you can use their picture. Unless, of course, someone here has one that they can take a picture of.
