Atari Smeghead
Well, yeah, I'm definitely excited about a new Lynx game! My only problem is timing. It just seems that there's a lot of new stuff for us Atari fans, between 8 Bit and Jaguar and Lynx... I'm still waiting to see the final damage that Christmas spending has inflicted on my credit card. For me, I'm just hoping that the supplies will still be there in Feb/March, when I can get my income tax refund and pay down the bills. Timing is everything in this world! But still, Alpine Games looks mighty sweet, and is certainly on my list or future purchases!
+Sauron
I think plenty of us have been patiently waiting for Alpine Games. I can't wait to get my hands on it!
chris_lynx1989
the intro price in germany and the euro exchange rate is gonig to make or break this title now.the euro was $1.27 friday and duranik was shooting for a tarket under $40 euros each.at the current rate that transltes to a bit over $50 euros(50.80) now.then if one like video 61 or songbird offers it that price will be different in the states when you factor in the euro intro price and the shipping and possible sales taxes at certain vendors.at the current rate on friday video 61 was projecting a price of least $61 each. duranik did not email a price quote to me friday, just the fact that it was in final beta stage and in beta test now and going into production on or very near jan. 15th.sounds very promising so far.intro price might be a little on "sticker shock" side later this month or in feb.telegames uk and telegames usa may also carry this--expect no bargain prices there generally.their shocking shipping prices shy away many here in the states and canada and etc.i'm hoping the euro and stuff do not bring this thing in at $70 or 75 dollars u.s. to kill this.--the lynxer
+Sauron
Considering the hype that this game has gotten so far, I don't think any price under $100 will really "kill" it. At the same time, though, let's keep our fingers crossed and hope that the price doesn't skyrocket out of control.
chris_lynx1989
you're telling me.$70 dollars does not look far off now.any some on this and other lynx forums have stated some concern with it being over $50.i hope your idea of anything under a $100 dollars u.s. holds some water.we shall see.--the lynxer
