Nice list. It humbles the embaressing offical AA list.

I would put Ball Blazer, Barnyard, Hat Trick, Jinks & Tower Toppler as level 1. Those games are still available from Osheas and

are pretty abundant in sealed boxes on ebay. Karetaka should be a 1

too as its pretty common as well. Those are the only ones I would

give a hard argument for. The rest would be my experience in obtaining

them or lack of obtaining ;) But I think Mean 18 & Tank Command are

closer to 7, too many people seem to need it and the ebay prices are

getting up there.

Basketbrawl 4

Dark Chambers 2

Mat Mania 3

Mean 18 7

Robotron 2

Scrapyard Dog 3

Tank Command 7

I was actually discussing this with Alex not too long ago and hopefully the AtariAge 7800 Rarity guide will be getting an update soon. It may include a PAL rarity guide as well.

PAL 7800 rarity is a funny thing, it's much more regionally split than NTSC rarity and that makes it harder to get a handle on.

back in the early 90s I used to have

Impossible Mission

Motor Psycho

Rampage

Planet Smashers

Commando

Ikari Warriors (all of which are a 5 rarity in your list)

also Alien Brigade and Double Dragon

but sold them some years ago. :x, some I bought directly from Atari

All that remains of them is a VHS tape full of footage of my entire 7800 collection playing, about 5 minutes per game, that I made for nostalgia. A few years ago, I took pics of the games playing and used those in the 7800 section of my Atari website.

Yes, an update is indeed in the works. We just finished upgrading the news database (see news post) and adding a few other site features, so I will tackle this next.

If nothing else, bump Mean 18 WAYYY UP. It's a bear to score (had to buy a lot of 40 POS just to get the one Mean 18 in it).

Oh, and good work on that RSS newsfeed.

Lemmi, MegaManFan, and myself all finished our collections around the same time last year.  The 3 hardest games for me to find were Ikari Warriors, Alien Brigade, and Mean 18.  It took me months to get these 3 games.

i had Alien Brigade already (got it for $2)

Ikari Warriors was the hardest for me to get ahold of

Mean 18 - i looked for this one for the longest time (about a year), then i got 2 boxed ones off ebay in a month (sold one to mcgrail)

Tank command - was easy to get but it was the most expensive 7800 game ive bought - when i was looking for this one one would pop up on ebay right after one would end for like a month straight

nothing was really hard to get my hands on but Mean 18, but its the one i remember the most because it was a game i really wanted :)

I have a lot of your rarity 4,5 and 6 games..Touchdown, Tomcat F-14, Ninja Golf with box and instructions, Mean 18 with box and instructions, Scrapyard Dog with box and instructions, Impossible Mission, Double Dragon, and Mat Mania with box and instructions. As far as games I think you might have wrong in your rarity guide..I think Basketbrawl might be a rarity 4 or 5, not 3..I had a tough time tracking that one down. Impossible Mission..I think it might be a 3 not a 5. I found it in the wild at a flea market and since then I've seen a second copy in the wild. Everything else looks good. BTW..I got my boxed copy of Mean 18 for free..someone gave it to me.
