Starhopper
I have just pulled my 2600 out of storage, but have lost the power converter. Can anyone look at their system and tell me the polarity of the jack? I already know the power rating and voltage.

ATARIPITBULL
You should have no problem finding a new power cord on ebay, Atari2600.com and many other places.
tantone56
Radioshack charges like $20.00 fucking dollers for a power card and another five for the correct end piece... THIEVES!!!
ATARIPITBULL
You can get the ones that were made by Atari for less than that most of the time on ebay.
tiggerthehun
Odd... where's your Radio Shack? The one here charges 12.95 for a plug, and the tip is free.
Susuwatari
That might have been an old stock from when Radio Shack included half a dozen tips with a brick. Making the brick by itself and offering only one tip makes sense, there are so many various of tips getting the right one could mean spending an extra $5 plus most people uses the power supply for just one thing so those extra tips may be getting thrown in the trash. My local Radio Shack sells varios power supply from about $12 to $20 and all has red mark that says your coice of one plug for free with the power supply.
