Bob Bytchin
I just read the trivia on the main page about the Gameline service. Did you know that the company is alive and well, and one of the largest media companies in the world today? Gameline changed it's name and became......America Online. Nice bit of trivia. Tempest
Yeah I had heard something about that. So does AOL own the rights to the Gameline service? Let's patition AOL to bring back the Gameline! Tempest
Elektro
I'm curious if anybody has ever found a copy of "Save the Whales," the only exclusive game Gameline owned...perhaps soembody at AOL still has access to the game? It would be quite interesting to find out.
Tempest
To the best of knowledge no. In fact no one I know of can even discribe what the game looked like. I doubt anyone at AOL would have it, but I'm sure there's a prototype or two of it floating around out there somewhere. I wonder why it was a gameline exclusive? Was Spectravision dead at that point? If not, why didn't they release it themselves in cart format? Tempest
