NES Pinball - I finaly did it

At long last I finally got past the invisible flippers

Final score 160430.

You lose the flippers at 100000 and get them back at 150000.

 

 

I still haven't saved the princess yet. Does anything happen ?

If by "princess" you mean that terribly non-descript woman in the "bonus" screen, nothing spectacular happens, if you get her safely off the screen you get points or an extra ball or something, that is it.

 

Congratulations on getting beyond the flippers! The first time they ever went invisible on me, I thought my game was messed up! Well done!

i think that is Pauline from Donkey Kong and not the Princess, as Pinball came out before Super Mario Bros (at least it did in Japan)

 

nothing special happens, you just get that breif fanfare music, 10,000 points, and the whole thing starts over again. Its pretty easy to save her, you open up the platforms she walks on by making one of the three columns the same color. Do this three times, she falls, and you must catch her and move her the side exits. Be careful not to drop her, as you lose a ball if she plumets to her death

 

The Invisible flippers are pretty cool, but easy to get past if you manage to flip the five playing cards and get the stopper.

 

fun game, other than SMB/Duck Hunt, Pinball was my first NES game

The manual refers to her as "lady" and you get 10,000 points for getting her to the exit.
