Navigating Yahoo Japanese Auctions

Is there an easy way to navigate and search Yahoo's Japanese auction site or do you just have to know Japanese? There are many things I'd love to get that only came out in Japan, and some of them actually do ship world wide (although not as many as I'd have thought).

Go down to Translate the page, enter, auctions.yahoo.co.jp

 

Some stuff still won't work right, but you can get the jist of it thru that. And it wouldn't hurt to find a Japanese buddy for importing stuff, have the seller ship to him, then him to you maybe, for sellers who won't ship outside of Japan.

I tend to browse the categories using the "only picture" option. 99% of the auctions have a picture anyway, and then I don't have to follow the useless translations that altavista sometimes spits out.

 

If you are doing searches, much less comes up if you search using the roman characters. So, try and use the katakana or whatever when searching. i.e. translate the word first, and then use it to search.
