sears video arcade II (anyone know the rarity or value)

i just got one recently at the thrift store and i was wondering the rarity and value and what type of controllers origionally came with it (the ones i got with it are 7800 controllers)

The controllers are darn nifty -- combination joystick and paddle. Those are rather hard to come by and not exactly durable, but you should be able to find some on eBay.

 

As for value, I have no idea. I've got one here that I found locally for a whopping $10, and it's too cool for me to consider selling

yeah i thought it was cool looking too, i paid thirty for mine but it came with a tele-games center and 21 2600 games. but thanx ill look there for some controllers

They're fairly uncommon, but not hard to find on eBay or other such places. The value is whatever you're willing to pay for it. The controllers that came with the console are combination Joystick/Paddles; the joystick could be twisted for use as a paddle (Push the "joystick" or "paddle" button on the console depending on which function you want).

The Arcade II appears frequently in Ebay and can usually be had for $9.99 and goes unpurchased often. They are fairly common.

Well, I got no games with mine, so I'd say you got the better deal. By the way, the controllers are downright fantastic.

 

Up until the point they break, of course.
