bjk7382
But how could you even get your hand around that thing to hit the button? You'd pretty much have to hold it in your left hand and trigger it with your thumb -- unless there are buttons on either side. Even then it'd be awkward -- the weight distribution would be away from the paddle. Surely Jak's could have come up with a better design than this... at least the joystick was ergonomic, if bulky -- though no more so than the original wireless Atari joysticks. I don't think it is as big as you are thinking it is. The bottom part is skinnier than the paddle so hold your original paddle in the tips of your fingers and there is a mile of room between it and your hand, so I could see these being quite comfortable. I think the picture makes it look bigger than it really is.

I think he was joking since all that he mentioned were 4 way games. Take a hint. So which Paddle games will it have? Circus Atari, Video Olympics, Street Racer, Blackjack, Breakout .. What other guesses? Big seller would be SCSICide .. if only .. Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA

I think he was joking since all that he mentioned were 4 way games. Take a hint. Actually, I think the joke is that they included Video Olympics and Breakout on their Joystick version. So Pac-man with a paddle.......
Saikyo
Still if these games were included i dont know how long id be laughing and a BIG mistake on Jakks part Honestly though if there is extra support for additional paddles would'nt it be cool if Warlords were included? (PS I reckon for some weird reason that Music Machine will be included)

NovaXpress
This paddle is a dud. Atari's own paddle games were some of the worst around. Street Racer for God's sake? When they have Super Breakout do they really need the original? Casino? With just 3 or 4 exceptions these games really suck. They shouldn't have done this without the ability to use all the great paddle games from Activision and other third-parties. Now that new Namco stick looks good. But if the damn thing does't have an 8-way stick then Xevious is gonna be as screwed as Bosconian was.
Blackbird
Bosconian was bad? I thought it was one of the best on it. Now I'll have to try the real version, see how much better it is...
sku_u
Warlords is a good addition to the games. It's too bad they didn't make it compatable with a dual unit making 4 player doable.
Bryan
Now that new Namco stick looks good. But if the damn thing does't have an 8-way stick then Xevious is gonna be as screwed as Bosconian was. I used a Dremel on the guts of the stick and made my Namco unit an 8-way. Of course opening it messes up the labels. -Bry

NovaXpress
How are these mods done? I really wanted to play Bosconian the proper way.
NE146
Hey guys... it IS possible to go diagonally in the namco stick Bosconian. It's just kinda hard. I know I said otherwise, but I played the game at Toys R Us, and tried it out.. after a little nudging and moving that stick around, sure enough I flew diagonally.. it's just hard to hit it. fsuinnc
Assuming they only offer games made for paddle controllers and they only offer Atari games, what games could there be? Breakout super breakout pong sports demond to diamonds circus Atari Race II casino Poker/blackjack warlords What else? (SCSIcide would have been nice!) Tsukasa
I don't think that they would put circus atari on both their atari joystick unit and the paddle unit.
PongHit
Um, why is the list of games being debated? They've already announced the games included: Breakout Canyon Bomber Casino Circus Atari Demons To Diamons Night Driver Steeplechase Street Racer Super Breakout Warlords http://www.jakkstvgames.com./ataripaddle.html -PongHit
NovaXpress
And what a worthless, sad list it is. This is not fit to be released. It's not worth buying this just to play Super Breakout and Circus. Warlords NEEDS a 4-player option. This unit is making me realize how almost all of the 2600 paddle games really sucked.

cindy
ha ha... i am totally getting one of those paddles and the other joystick thing. my atari sucks right now and my last resort will be to get one of these things. that's awesome.
