Albert
If you guys (and gals) see ANY reproduction auctions like this that are not clearly labeled reproductions, please let me know, preferably well before the auctions end!! ..Al

Prices like this will only encourage him to continue doing this. ..Al I don't think the seller knew the game wasn't the real deal. So far that's the only one that seller sold. Please Note: Most every thing I list on Ebay comes from auctions, liquidations sales, Garage Sales, store closeouts and foreclosed houses.. I try to note everything about the item so there is no problems.. All items come AS-IS. Any questions please ask!!!

No problem, I know we can't all be on eBay all the time. I'd setup a search for "rare atari" auctions, but it seems everyone labels their auctions as "rare". ..Al
Jaymiester
Yup, lots of of rare games listed on rarE-Bay.....problem is having to sift thru all the same games to find the best rare one to buy. Hard to decide between 20 or 30 choices.

roadrunner
It looks like this reseller made a side deal, IMO the buyer overpaid. $33 for a bunch of commons?? http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FAtari-2600-Video-Game-Cartridges-for-redbottle6-%2F290878806925%3Fpt%3DVideo_Games_Games%26hash%3Ditem43b9ba5b8d

Unless there's somehing I'm missing here, there's nothing that should bring $12 much less $33. Odd thing is, I'm pretty sure I've seen the buyer of these heavily active in many other auctions. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the QBert is actually Qbert's Qubes and the buyer asked about it?
Atari_Bill
Interesting to post this at this price when a complete copy just sold for only $440. I'm not implying that it's the same copy (it's not, I checked), but really. The market looked like it topped out at $450. Why would anyone decide to bid over 3x that? I will never understand that rationale to post extremely high with a make offer. Turns me off as a buyer every time. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FCIB-Guardian-ONLY-Atari-2600-Complete-Box-and-manual-%2F130862197284%3F_trksid%3Dp2047675.m1986%26_trkparms%3Daid%253D555001%2526algo%253DPW.CURRENT%2526ao%253D1%2526asc%253D7%2526meid%253D6220749972215546036%2526pid%253D100013%2526prg%253D1004%2526rk%253D3%2526sd%253D290878806925%2526

roadrunner
What's the deal with user krishnasoft, that person seems to go out of his way to look for auctions that someone makes 2 bids and he makes the next highest bid just to make someone pay more for something. Not to mention the 87 bid retractions in the last 6 months. Take a look at the bids on this item. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FRARE-Vintage-Atari-5200-Trak-Ball-Controller-untested-%2F190808133334%3F_trksid%3Dp2045573.m2042%26_trkparms%3Daid%253D111000%2526algo%253DREC.CURRENT%2526ao%253D1%2526asc%253D27%2526meid%253D6228822271172736079%2526pid%253D100033%2526prg%253D1011%2526rk%253D1%2526sd%253D190808133334%2526%26autorefresh%3Dtrue
ThatGuyInTheBackRow
hi roadrunner, are you sure that they didnt just bid what they wanted to pay? they only bid once from what i saw, unless they bid over and over and then quit when it reached the top i dont know how you could come up to that conclusion, although you could in fact be correct. Sektor
Why does eBay allow 87+ bid retractions in 6 months? That's obviously shady. They should set the limit to 5 times a year or less. Edited March 14, 2013 by Sektor

Geesh, that is absolutely ridiculous. It's one thing to place an incorrect bid every once in a long while, but 87 times in 6 months is simply abusing the hell out of bid retractions. ..Al

Weird, I thought there was a limit? If not, there certainly should be. That's just blatant abuse. And by the way, krishnasoft = atariksi (for those here who remember who he is/was). Probably just senseless ax-grinding on his part.
