atari181
Ended rather quickly but eBay Auction -- Item Number: 271542665221 could have been anything with labels ripped off. That is quite the risk.
Atari_Bill
That is quite the risk. The seller (who has a 98% rating) says "I have no way of knowing as I do not play games.", yet his ebay handle is thegamerschoice1. This guy is full of it! Andre81
i just started listing these... it's going to take some time to get this all up This thread is for INTERESTING auctions. What I can see on the picture and on eBay IS NOT INTERESTING. Most of your items are also in bad shape. Sorry about the backlash when you just register to advertise your repros and worn cartridges. tep392
It would be kind of interesting if he sold it in one big lot.
Troy_Whelan
I find this very interesting, unfortunately for me it is not tested but some others may have the skills needed to ensure it works. I saw the Combat arcade units (rarely) in front of movie theaters, and the controls make this more fun than the Atari 2600 version. Coleco Combat console for home use; controls and plays like the original arcade units. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Colecovision-Combat-console-item-426J-/191253202778?pt=Video_Games&hash=item2c8794475a
Atari_Bill
I have one of these combat units and the control is spot on. Nice unit. I'd recommend one as long as it works.

galax
I find this very interesting, unfortunately for me it is not tested but some others may have the skills needed to ensure it works. I would assume the usual "untested" being eBay-speak for "doesn't work" (I sold a bunch of software for systems I don't have recently though, that I really couldn't test, so the are are one or two genuinely untested items out there...) http://www.shopgoodwill.com/auctions/Antonius-Stradivarius-Cremonensis-Violin-1780-17312719.html Not video game related but an unusual item for Goodwill to have to sell. And it just happened to be my local Goodwill chain. Almost definitely not a 'real' Stradivarius, there are tons of cheap violins with the Stradivarius name on them. I came to this thread again because I love the $100 price tag and optimistic description for something that looks like it was found in a swamp: “Mint condition, still shrink wrapped, never opened. Some age/shelf wear to outer box.” http://ww.ebay.com/itm/VISI-TREND-PLOT-for-Visicalc-by-Visicorp-First-Edition-1983-never-opened-/131247080031 Doesn't apply here, but in general people put way too much faith in shrink-wrapping, which is cheap and easy to do to an item in decent condition. Donnicton
Bally Astrocade with box, manuals and 8 games(loose) being auctioned off online by an auction hall in Kentucky. Fairly hefty 15% buyer's premium however. http://www.auctionzip.com/aflive.html?method=getLotInfo&lotref=328E891935 Little over 4 days remaining as of the time of this posting. It's Sean Kelly's copy, one of the founders of Digital Press, CGE and the Videogame Museum.

SoulBlazer
I know it's rare, the pictures make it look in great shape and the story matches up with what I know about them....but half a million? Really?
bojay1997
I know it's rare, the pictures make it look in great shape and the story matches up with what I know about them....but half a million? Really? The guy has been listing and re-listing the game for a few years now. Several collectors have tried to explain that the real value is probably closer to like $5K, but he just becomes belligerent and jacks the price up further each time. It will never sell and ultimately, this guy will die or go bankrupt and it will find its way back into the market at a more reasonable price someday. Donnicton
Here's a rather neat one. http://www.auctionzip.com/aflive.html?method=getLotInfo&lotref=8DDFD0D260 It's an auction for an Atari stock certificate from 1989. I don't think anyone would be insane enough to bid on this given the bonkers premium/commission demands and starting bid, but it's still a neat piece of history. These are common on EBay for considerably less. I got a dozen of them for about $30 shipped.
Uzumaki
Not gaming but something classic (15 year old laptop) and more funny than interesting. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 121366132809 Seems the shipping is rather expensive for a brick. $46.95 to ship a 2 pound dead battery half way across USA? I'd be disappointed if it didn't arrive within 12 hours of payment.
