chris_lynx1989
sorry,no pics or scans of my stuff at the moment--no digital camera. i do have a scanner to do pics at some point. i can tell you that i "house" most of my collection in 2 stuffed lynx kit cases and three lynx card wallets and 1 lynx pouch and three padded envelopes! do i sound like i'm a lynx fanatic? probably do. been collecting lynx stuff since july 1990 when i got my first lynx 1 deluxe box with the california games pack-in game. has it really been 14 years ago? i can still remember going to the toys r us and getting the very last deluxe lynx package they had--made me breathe a sigh of relief when i heard that! i drove 1 1/2 hours and roughly a hundred miles to that damned toys r us,too! i was really on cloud 9 and thrilled to death when they handed me my stuff out of the security cage then. i was a proud new lynx owner. i never got into the newer systems really. the only exceptions were/are: the sega dreamcast and the game boy advance. i've not been that impress -ed with the new units to want to buy one. how long have you been collecting lynx stuff? it takes a bit to amass what all you're showing in your pics. i'm picking up the last few i don't have in my collection yet this year. i'm just about to that complete collection! i'm trying. --the lynxer

Well, it sure sounds like a pretty impressive collection! You probably have some nice rarities laying around collection for 14 years! I can't wait for those pics! has it really been 14 years ago? i can still remember going to the toys r us and getting the very last deluxe lynx package they had--made me breathe a sigh of relief when i heard that! i drove 1 1/2 hours and roughly a hundred miles to that damned toys r us,too! i was really on cloud 9 and thrilled to death when they handed me my stuff out of the security cage then. i was a proud new lynx owner. I know that feeling! All hyped up, unable to think about anything else, including eating/sleeping/socializing: you're on a mission and everything else fades i never got into the newer systems really. the only exceptions were/are: the sega dreamcast and the game boy advance. i've not been that impressed with the new units to want to buy one. Good choice on the Dreamcast however! May well be the console which was the most ahead of its time (&competitors!) (Together with the Jaguar?) I do occasionally play on the xbox, but it mainly serves as a multimedia station, in which it excels how long have you been collecting lynx stuff? it takes a bit to amass what all you're showing in your pics. i'm picking up the last few i don't have in my collection yet this year. i'm just about to that complete collection! i'm trying. --the lynxer Sounds a bit scary too, not, complete? brrr. I started somewhere march this year with the Lynx... but just very, very dedicated which goes for the Vectrex and Jaguar as well by the way

Well, it sure sounds like a pretty impressive collection! You probably have some nice rarities laying around collection for 14 years! I can't wait for those pics! i do have some real atari prototype games on eproms and such--rather hard to come by in many cases for any system out there! has it really been 14 years ago? i can still remember going to the toys r us and getting the very last deluxe lynx package they had--made me breathe a sigh of relief when i heard that! i drove 1 1/2 hours and roughly a hundred miles to that damned toys r us,too! i was really on cloud 9 and thrilled to death when they handed me my stuff out of the security cage then. i was a proud new lynx owner. I know that feeling! All hyped up, unable to think about anything else, including eating/sleeping/socializing: you're on a mission and everything else fades yes,and the game playing that comes along because of your new and loved "purchased" friend that now occupies all of your time that you are constantly ferretting aside for youself away from others!! the only thing that matters is your new feline pal with the 3 1/2 inch full color backlit lcd screen. alone time is the only thing you want with your new pal and your game cards, battery pack or ac/dc adaptor for it. not to mention the pile of dead aa batteries lying around that many folks were guilty of "killing" off back in october 1989 and later after the lynx was released! or was that only the real lynx fanatics that did that? i killed off a few in those days, too. i never got into the newer systems really. the only exceptions were/are: the sega dreamcast and the game boy advance. i've not been that impressed with the new units to want to buy one. Good choice on the Dreamcast however! May well be the console which was the most ahead of its time (&competitors!) (Together with the Jaguar?) I do occasionally play on the xbox, but it mainly serves as a multimedia station, in which it excels i got a dreamcast back on 9/9/99 (release day),i felt really burned by all of the folks at sega when they suddenly pulled the plug on it in early 2001. the very same reason i never got into the jaguar, i did not like the way that atari gave the lynx a "raw deal" back in 1993 by pulling all resources away from it to devote them all to the jaguar. didn't do any good at all, the jaguar and lynx both suffered and died because of it, didn't they? atari did ,too for that matter. yes,the jaguar and the lynx were far ahead of their time in 1993 in 1989 respectively, too bad they both had to die the slow deaths they did in the manner they did in the marketplace! they still live on in songbird releases and such. i have a half dozen things to add yet in the released games area, you know is a game collection ever complete?? which goes for the Vectrex and Jaguar as well by the way i started collecting my vectrex stuff back in january 1984 out of the good old clearance bins! i started doing a little jaguar collecting this year.--the lynxer

GARTH
I started this collecting bug 2 months ago And have had a very good run i've got over 60 carts now, and most of them are rarities. I'm fortunate that here in australia telegames product was heavily promoted. as the complete catalogue was quite easy to find.I've now only got the commons and a couple of songbird titles to find. i'm not that worried about getting protos as such rather a good selection of what was released complete for the console and of course doubles at least of the multiplayer carts.as cal games and checkered flag are at their best comlynxed. The only downside to this frenzied collecting so far has been a surplus of consoles and the cost
