Max-T Posted April 19, 2004 Share Posted April 19, 2004 Posting this for a friend... He got a PAL copy of a Sega-CD game (Mega CD, thus) without realizing the difference. He asked to find out (and best way I know how is to ask you all) if the U.S./NTSC Sega CD will boot up the PAL game, what differences there'll be in the game as it is output to an NTSC television. Most of all, dude is afraid that trying a PAL disc in his USA Sega would damage it. I tried to assuage him that it couldn't damagae his hardware, but... You all are experts. video game addict Posted April 19, 2004 Share Posted April 19, 2004 Most likely will NOT work without a convertor. Check this thread from the Import gaming forum at DP. There's a Datel Pro CDX listed there, that would work but there appears to be a couple different revisions of it, for the different bios of SCD.
