Tsukasa
I need the schematics for the xe light gun or 2600 compatible equivalent.
Tsukasa
Nevermind, I found something that will suffice.
Stingray
Oh come on! I hate it when someone asks a question like this and then doesn't tell the rest of us what they're up to! So what are you up to? -S
Tsukasa
I want to be able to play sentinel and shooting arcade with my soon-to-be eprom burner and multicart... I found the schematics for an NES lightgun and I can convert it into a 2600 compatible light gun.
CPUWIZ
It's easier to convert a SMS gun. BTW, how are you gonna make a Shooting Arcade cart?
bjk7382
BTW, how are you gonna make a Shooting Arcade cart? It works nicely on the cc2, but I don't have the gun and I don't want to convert my SMS gun. Is it hard to get 16k games onto a multicart like he wants to?
CPUWIZ
Is it hard to get 16k games onto a multicart like he wants to? Ones that use the additional Superchip, yes.
Tsukasa
I have schematics that show how to do F8, F6, and E0 bankswitching in descrete logic using only four chips. BTW, is there a substitute for the Super Chip? Could I just wire up some SRAM?
CPUWIZ
BTW, is there a substitute for the Super Chip? Could I just wire up some SRAM? Nope, it isn't just a RAM chip.
Tsukasa
Is there anything I could use as a substitute? I have the pinouts. chips.zip
Rob Mitchell
It works nicely on the cc2, but I don't have the gun and I don't want to convert my SMS gun. I use a SMS gun and an adapter to connect to the 2600/7800. PM me about one of these adapters. Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA
Tsukasa
BTW, is there a substitute for the Super Chip? Could I just wire up some SRAM? Nope, it isn't just a RAM chip. You're kidding, right? Because in this post you said that it's just a 128 byte ram chip.
CPUWIZ
In this post you said that it's just a 128 byte ram chip. Yes, but it maps itself into multiple pages and also does chip selection on the ROM itself. It turns off the ROM when it needs to be active. Nothing fancy but also not what a regular RAM chip does. Tsukasa
Is there any way to implement that in descrete logic? Do the 16k boards in the atariage store support superchip games?
