Yars quest is great

Ive just been enjoyed the newly released Yars quest and its a superb game. Token Atari colours and sound and a good design. Whats the next project for the VCCS?

These games are real projects... but as I have only 1 brain and 2 hands and few time, you'll have to be patient....

 

 

BTW I have another game in project I haven't made a fake label so far....

but It might be the first new game to be released.

 

Regarding the threads, I think a lot of people will enjoy to play it.

I agree, Yars quest is great. JUst wondering, I might have missed it on the site, what do you program the games in? ASM?

Yes, I wrote the core fonctions (screen display, sprites, collisions detection, sounds, device inputs...) in machine langage using TASM 5.0.

And I use Turbo C++ to call these fonctions and write the game itself.

BTW, I for one really appreciate the work, time, and effort that you and others do for making our lives a lot of fun! If only I could program Atari type games... I guess I'll just stick to playing and having fun...
