They've become zombies, stalking endlessly in a constant quest to feed on the flesh and blood of the few remaining living. You must fight thru the waves of the undead in your quest for freedom. Control your vehicle thru the obstacles and take out the Zombies that get in your way. Be sure to watch your fuel gauge and pick up gas when it is available. I hope he is waiting to post a FINAL version only. The skull sprite is just a placeholder graphic. I was thinking of using a tombstone. Any other ideas? The graphic pops up when a zombie dies. The crosses are actually better for the gameplay for the reason you stated. I am still looking for the color codes and sounds before I am finished. I don't think there will be a release on this one. But, you never know. I am still trying to make some color changes and altering the gameplay to make it harder. Right now it is too easy.
