chris_lynx1989 Posted May 21, 2004 Share Posted May 21, 2004 supposedly duranik has talked of doing this later this year, is this true? can you make alpine games any better as a lynx game? apparently so. is one of these going to be a memory expansion card? or are there going to be extra events on one or two different cards? this sounds to be a very interesting thing on the surface for a recent lynx game release-- not sure how practical it will be on the lynx market though. wouldn't it have been a bit easier to have delayed the original release till this spring and have just put in the new features? i'm not trying to shoot duranik down for a bit innovation on a very good release from them in january this year. or is it to be a yearly upgrade to the game with features and events and the like? sounds rather good to be sure!--the lynxer Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Matthias Posted May 21, 2004 Share Posted May 21, 2004 Hello, neither has the Lynx multiple slots (for base cartridge + upgrade cartridges of any kind) nor allows it (without modification of the Lynx) to exchange cartridges without powering down (which means that RAM-data will be lost). And the Alpine Games-cartridges doesn't have an expansion slot, nor has it the Eprom and E2prom on socket. So i can't imagine how an "upgrade" can be done. Unter allen eingesendeten Online Scores werden wir 3 exklusive nicht im Handel erhältliche Lynx Module verlosen, mit bisher unveröffentlichten Lynx Programmen/Grafiken die während der langen Entwicklung von Alpine Games enstanden sind. Also nochmal an alle Alpine Games Besitzer die Aufforderung die Scores einzuschicken. It says that they will produce 3 special Lynx-cartridges containing AlpineGame-related stuff which will be given to 3 random people who have sent in their AG-Hiscore-webcodes.
