SimonTemplar
I was wondering how much a NES 700-in-1 multicart normally sells for.
holygrailvideogames.com
Are there actually 700 games on the multicart? If so I would like to get one.
birdie3
Whoa!! Are most of those games hacks of a few selected titles or are there actually 700 unique games?
Susuwatari
Probably 10 or 20 unique games with the rest hacked variations. Any big number are probably mostly variations.
AtariAger
Hey guys...Question for ya? I have a "1500-in-one"("?") on the way. Has anyone ever heard of a cart like this? If so, what kind of gameplay can I expect from it? Thanks for all info.
Max-T
I know this wasn't the original topic of discussion, but... If you're looking for a good, cheap way to play NES games, get a Dreamcast! Last ones I saw in town were selling new for $50. I'm sure you could find decent used units for well under that these days. And there have been some very good NES/SNES/Genesis collections for the Dreamcast. It sure beats having to blow on the NES cartridge, blow into the NES itself, and cross your fingers before you can get a game to start up. Obviously, playing the original is always the best. But for those of us who can't afford 700 individual carts or a multicart, emulation is always a consideration.
EricDeLee
I've got a 76-in-1 multicart that actually plays 76 games. I love that cart!

Are these official Dreamcast disks or grey market emulation disks? In either case, where can I get them? -S

Susuwatari
Finding all 800 or so NES ROMs would be a real PITA because Nintendo cracks down on any web site quickly and newsgroup don't show many NES flood anymore. Your best chance is an IRC channel but I don't know where.
raindog
Download an ed2k client and look on filehash.com/filedonkey.com.... at the moment there are 10 copies of a 900mb set of GoodNES 1.01 out there which is frankly way more than you want. N64 and GBA are more in demand nowadays, but NES stuff is still out there.

Cootster
Most GoodSets include all the dupes/hacks/etc . . . (But the NES one doesn't have any of the homebrews, I presume because they don't exist on carts) . . . There's a very reliable site that still has NES/SNES/Genesis up, even if their modern ROMS are down . . .
Gamemaster_ca_2003
I've got a 76-in-1 multicart that actually plays 76 games. I love that cart! do you have a rom dump of the muti-cart
SteveW
I bought a 114-in-1 cart, but it only has 7 games on it.......
raindog
Hint: Bit Torrent. First place I looked. Suprnova has nada, Torrentreactor has only N64 stuff as far as I can see. ed2k is always a second resort for me nowadays, especially with Sharereactor and Jigle gone. EricDeLee
No ROM Dump of the cart. Can anyone here do it? I will be more than happy to type up the game list tonight and then send this thing out to get it dumped. Of course...I'd like to have it back. lol Send me a PM.... or keep chatting in here! I know it has Galaga and lots of classics on there. I think some games are Japanese versions of the games... but I can't remember. I'll let you know after I get a chance to look at it again tonight (I'll more than likely get stuck playing it for hours on end now!!!) Anyways, if I remember right, it is called a Supervision cart... and it has a collection of pictures on the front. When I boutght it aty the flea market... I got it from some guy that could not speak English. I figured it was a Multi-cart by the looks of it (and the weight). But I wanted to test it in his machine just to be sure. When his machine did not work correctly (Blinking red light)... he tried to take sand paper to the contacts. I told him not to... otherwise I wouldn't buy it. I gave his $7.50 for it and $2 for a Zelda NES cart. I also picked up a Strrawberry Shortcake, Space Shuttle, Pole Position (with the error label)and Spider-Man (Atari 2600) from him that day. All for $12. I took it home, cleaned it up pretty good and now have a multicart sitting in my house (it is menu driven. No dip switches). I would have had another one a while back... but got sniped from the guy that makes all of the Multicarts (Vectrex, Atari 2600...etc). That one had over 100 games on it. Oh Well. I'll add more info on here later.
Susuwatari
I have an 84-in-1 (black cart orange label with "POWER-JOY" and "PJ-008"on it) that has 84 unique games, many of them I have never seen (Japanese only I guess). I don't know if it's dumped and it's not easy to dump any NES or Famicom cart because there are oddles of mappers. The easiest way is to remove the ROM chip, dump them via EPROM reader, map out the mapper circuit, and if it's propierty or uniquer mapper, send the info to authors of NES emulator for future consideration. Also you'sd need to combine ROM dump properly (usually 1PRG + 1CHR ROM) with 16 bytes header containing the size of PRG and CHR and mapper #. There used to be a DIY NES dumper on the internet that uses IO-48 card for PC but it has since vanished,
Susuwatari
I just checked, I don't think I can dump mine. Even if I get a special desoldering tool to remove those 2 chips (they are probably 29F series flash chip but no number are on the chip) I'd have a hard time decoding the mapper chip under the black blob in the middle. If you have taken yours apart, can you tell what's there so we could see if it's dumpable or not.
EricDeLee
LONG POST: Root Menu: 76 in 1 Game PAGE.1 PAGE.2 PAGE.3 PAGE.4 PAGE.5 PAGE.6 PAGE.7 PAGE.8 1990 TSANG HAI Go to the page you want and select ‘A’. If you want to go back to the root menu… simply select ‘B’. Pages 1 and 2 have 10 games. Pages 3, 4, 5 and 6 have 11 games. And Pages 7 and 8 only have 6 games. There are 76 unique games on this cart. Note… it looks as though all copyright dates were programmed out of the games… but the games seem to be the exact copy of their original releases minus small things such as misspelling Mario’s name or change the name of the title screen. Also… if you choose to play a game… you must press the reset on the NES if you want to play a different game or return to the root menu. Page.1 1.Pin Ball 2.Urban Champion 3.Dig Dug 4.Excite Bike 5.Mabby 6.Circus Chablie 7.Mario Bros 8.Super Mario 9.KeyKong JR 10.Tennis 1. Goes to regular PinBall. 2. Same game released by NES. 3. Same game 4. same 5. Is ‘MAPPY’. Should be the original Nintendo release… but I can’t verify that as I don’t have the ROM for MAPPY. 6. I never played this game before. I assume it is original… but I can’t tell (I don’t have the ROM) 7. Same game as the Mario Brothers release. Closer inspection shows that they removed the title of this game on the title screen… perhaps for copyright reasons. The gameplay is exact. However, the score field is changed. The took out the ‘T’ in TOP (where it shows the top score of the game in the middle of the screen). 8. Exact copy of Super Mario Brothers… except they removed the ‘O’ from Mario throughout the entire game. I expect all games will be like this. 9. Title screen comes up as ‘Gorilla 3’. However it is of course Donkey Kong 3. 10. Exact game Page.2 1. Pengun Adventure 2. Macross 3. Kung Fu 4. Combat 5. F1 Race 6. Road Fighter 7. Exerion 8. Twin Bee 9. Star Force 10. Formation 2 1. Comes up as ‘Antarctica Adventure’. I never played it nor have the ROM. Some Penguin is sliding around on ice and avoiding obstacles. 2. No Rom… so I can’t figure out what this game is. Japanese title… but it is fun. 3. Title comes up as “Yie Ar Kung~Fu” I don’t have this ROM 4. Title comes up as ‘Field Combat” It looks like you control a radar… and fight soldiers. Don’t have this ROM 5. Not sure… as I don’t have the ROM 6. Same as above 7. Same as above 8. Same as above 9. I finally have this ROM! This is Star Force 10. Not sure Page.3 1. B Wings 2. Ice Climbers 3. Baltle City 4. Mahjong 4 5. Bomberman 6. Pack man 7. Galaza 8. Front Line 9. Joust 10. Popeye 11. Milk and Nuts Hmmm…. 11 on this page. 1. I have no idea. No ROM for this game. 2. Great game. Original Ice Climber. 3. Not sure. You drive a tank and protect your base from other tanks. I don’t have this ROM 4. Every Jap game has to have one of these. 5. Bomber Man in all it’s glory 6. PacMan… just as NES released it (Does not follow arcade patterns.) 7. Galaga for NES !!! 8. Strange… but I am missing nearly all of my ROMS that start with an ‘F’. I take it this is called Front Line… I just can’t verify. 9. JOUST! 10. Popeye! 11. Never heard of it Page.4 1.1942 2.Othello 3.Lode Runner 2 4.Lode Runner 5.Baseball 6.Lunar Ball 7.Ninja 8.Millipecle 9.Arabian 10.Ballon Fight 11.Chack’n Pop Page.5 1.Galaxian 2.Sky Destroyer 3.Mahong 2 4.Devil World 5.Binary Land 6.Pooyan 7.Warpman 8.Donkey Kong 9.Donkey Kong 2 10. Helicopter 11.Ninja 2 Page.6 1.Clu Land 2.City Connection 3.Burger Time 4.Golf 5.Gobang 6.Wrestle 7.Star Juster 8.Karateka 9.Duck Hunt 10.Wild Gunman 11.Hogan Alley Page.7 1.Mach Rider 2.King of Ghost 3.Gyrodine 4.Ninja 3 5.Mag Max 6.Spartan Page.8 1.Wrecking Crew 2.Elevator Action 3.Xevious 4.Arkanoid 5.Galg 6.Tetris 2 As you can see I din't go through all of the pages... as I was too tired last night to get through it. However, all of the games seem to be unique. The only difference is that the title has been changed or the spelling of a character's name is missing a letter. Gameplay is exact though. I haven't taken my game apart for a long time... so I will have to get back with you tonight on that. If I can get the camera to work... I'll take a few pictures. uosipa llamxew
Hmm, I think that ROM has been dumped... or at least I think I have the dump of the menu. The game listing looks right. Does this look familiar? Oh, and if anyone wants to get rid of their multicarts, PM me. I'm a big fan of cutesy early Japanese games. :-)
