So are you saying you are making a game for the Atari 2600 and need help with programming sounds, or are you programming for a modern system but need audio samples that sound like it came from classic games?

Off pretty much any keyboard or music generating device or video game system. You can probably find some samples of the waveforms on google.

Does the platform you're developing for not have any built in tones? Like general MIDI sounds? If so, it should have sounds with those waveforms.

Maybe you can try the Raster music tracker (http://www.infos.cz/raster/atari/rmt/rmt.htm).

It allows you to create Atari (XL) music on a PC.

You could define instruments and grab the sound (digital) with Total Recorder (http://www.highcriteria.com/) or a similar program to use it with a mod tracker.

With RMT it is no problem to create 2600 like sound (the pokey soundchip is like an enhanced version of VCS's TIA).
