The Eidolon
I have an (unfortunately) unused Cuttle Cart 2 from the original run, which I am thinking of selling off. I don't have a 7800 yet, and with a new baby, I just don't see having enough time to make full use of it. I'm not trying to make a profit on this, just to get it to someone who can better enjoy it until the next run (if any) comes out. What's the best way to find a home for this one? I've never sold things through the Atari Age marketplace, and I'm not eager to put it on EBay. Please let me know any suggestions. --The Eidolon
oesii
I'm in the same boat as you with a newborn son but I'm hoping that I find time in the next year or two to check it out. I would suggest selling it to an honest man around here, mcgrail007 (Sean) who's been asking about getting one for the longest. I would sell mine to him if I had to and I'm sure you can find a few dozen good trader recs about him.
MrRetroGamer
I would hold on to it if money is not a problem right now. You may really regret giving it up, especially if you find out that there won't be an additional run made of these. Even if you don't get to it for a while, it will be there when you are ready. I know about the baby factor, I've got a 16 month old myself, so time has been at a premium ever since she arrived. That being said, if you do decide to sell, I'd say put it on eBay and let the highest bidder get it. It won't even need a reserve on it. You might be the first person to sell one in the secondary market, but you won't be the last. Don't feel bad about making money on it when you sell it, it's how business is done. Everyone has their motivations and reasons.
The Eidolon
Well, one conideration for me is that I'm not a huge 2600/7800 collector. I bought one because I thought it was a really cool piece of hardware and it would be fun to play a few games out of nostalgia. But I could probably buy a 2600 and all the games I remember for the 2600 for the price of the CC2, and if I know that someone else is enjoying it more than I would have I don't think I would regret selling it. Besides--I'm not sure how I could convince my wife I need to buy a 7800 anyway. --The Eidolon

Trip_Cannon
I don't want to bypass somebody who's been waiting patiently for it but I'm interested!
holygrailvideogames.com
I do want one and I have the cash in hand. I would like to get one because I would like to cut back a little on my 2600 collection. My wife has really been getting on me about all of the cartridges that I have (we really don't have the space for all of them) and I am trying to get a Cuttle Cart II so that I don't feel so bad about cutting back. Thanks oesii and Lemmi for remembering that I have been looking for one!
The Eidolon
Thanks to all for the help and advice. I found a buyer even before I had the need to list it in the marketplace forum, so the CC2 is now sold. To try to be fair, I just went with the first party who contacted me. --The Eidolon
hanglyman
It would have been interesting to see how much it would have gone for on ebay, so soon after it's release.
