agradeneu
Recently I messed around with Blender 3D rendering. Opinions wanted.
Atari_Owl
Looks great but very complicated. What are you intending to do with it?
Trip_Cannon
Will this be for the Jaguar?
Atari_Owl
I would imagine if t is, then as a still or pre-rendered image, otherwise its rather too complicated

I'm a bloody beginner with 3D rendering. This represents my first steps towards modeling and texturing. Animation is the next step. Its just for fun - but it could be more if it goes along well. Maybe at the end - the whole sprite artwork for a 2d shooter. Who knows. I will investigate further.
CrazyChris
For a first time 3D rendering it's excellent! Keep up the good work. Chris

The modelling truly looks excellent, i was merely commenting on the limitations of the jag.

I wasn't offended at all and it wasn't sarcastically meant - I'm really a beginner. I'm glad that you think it's excellent - thats a good motivation. Thank you for your appreciation. agradeneu
This is the result of a whole days work getting me near to collapse. This Spider wants to get blasted!
justclaws
Hello, Little animation film of the gunship. Enjoy! I downloaded this file, but my Media Player 9 on my Windows 2000 box said it can't find the necessary plug-in. Can you advise what's used? Thanks, JustClaws. agradeneu
Hi, firstable its a zip file, so you cant open it with Media Player5 without unzipping it. The unpacked file is MPEG-4. It should work with your version of WMP. BTW: Video Clip of the Mechaspider coming soon. Legs are animated!
Paolo
Update: REALONE player doesn't play it, either. By the way, there's something weird in that spider, maybe because it's two-legged?
Paolo
Edit Since the ZIP file is OK, maybe it's just the AVI that is someway corrupted, like bad saving - bad header ... C'mon guys, give us back the EDIT button. Did you ever say why it has been put out? It's because some bad guys wrote something to start flamewars and then edit back their own message to look like angels? And BTW, did you notice that it's a long time we do not have locked topics? Come on, let's burn the roof! Let's give these moderators some job! Ciao!
agradeneu
The Spider become my little pet and I teach it some things. This time its a small file. Remember you need the right codec: Div-X MPEG-4 Fast Motion. @Paolo: No, its has actually four! But see for yourself I don't think the file is corrupted - You need the right codec. But I can repost it, if there are still problems. spidersuper_0045.zip
justclaws
Hello, Yes, I can't get Realplayer to play it either. Update: Windows Media Player 9 can't play it under XP either. I think that AVI is corrupt too... the ZIP file is fine, I unzipped it. :-) It does look a very unstable, badly damaged spider. Lost 6 legs. :-( Cheers, JustClaws. agradeneu
@Justclaws Just look at the file info for codec: DIVXMPEG4 V3. I would recommend to download codec packs like "Gordian Knot", so you won't have problems to open "corrupted" files anymore. Badly damaged? Its just the weird "frog" perspective, no damage at all. K3V
Plays OK for me, must be a codec issue. Try downloading the free Divx codec from divx.com
Punisher5.0
C'mon guys, give us back the EDIT button. Did you ever say why it has been put out? It's because some bad guys wrote something to start flamewars and then edit back their own message to look like angels? This is why the edit feature is temporarily disabled @agradeneu: Very impressive stuff. The movies are really cool looking.
agradeneu
@Punisher Thanks for your feedback. BTW Since they were over 300 views and quite some downloads on this thread I would be happy if there was some little more feedback from you people. Come on - why so reserved!
