Probably why I used to hate this game. I think I remember that this can happen when you cross the bridge 4 times without dieing. Each time you get 2 more shots but the game code can only handle 6 shots at a time vs 8 - I think that plays into the issue Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When you want to be a "fast finger", or the pink enemy drops a fast bomb, you are dead quickly... even if raising the shield.. The bug is: The shield counts from 15 to 14, so it IS ON, but the collision with the bomb lets explode the ship... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If I woulda started on it earlier I mighta managed to do better. But I didn't think it would catch my interest.
