Spector
Maybe this is the wrong board, but I was wondering if anyone has used XBox MAME and could tell me how good it is. Do you need to use frameskip on arcade games from the 80s, or is it solid 100% no frameskip for games from that era? Using a modded Xbox to play MAME seems like a simpler and better way of enjoying those old classics, if it's a good quality emulator. Shannon
No problems on games from the 80's. My guess would be early 90's as well, but I kinda lost interest in arcade games around 87. It even supports high score saving, overlays, and cabinet art.
san-d-2000
I was wondering if there's a way to burn it on DVD including the roms instead of putting it on the harddisc? -Sandy
Shannon
Should be possible, but I never tried it. You would just have to make sure you point some files that are written too to the hard drive (configuration files, etc). Would probably have to create two seperate DVD's though. I dont think all the MAME roms will fit on one DVD. Unless you just pick out the ones you like and use those. I'm not sure, but I think MAME has some type of samba support so you could always slap them on your PC and access the ROMS over the network.
