vintagegamer89
Last night I hooked my ColecoVision up for the first time in about two months and played it. I put in q*bert and turned it on. I got garbled letters and really messed up looking game play. I tried this with my 3 other Colecovision games and I got the same results. I'm just thinking that the games need to be cleaned really good, but does anyone think it may be something severe? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks - VintageGamer89

Thanks - VintageGamer89 It's the power switch, every single Colecovision system I ever had eventually does that. You can take the switch apart and clean the contacts to fix that. AtariLeaf
It's the power switch, every single Colecovision system I ever had eventually does that. You can take the switch apart and clean the contacts to fix that. I get that occasionally but only with certain games, Mr. Do, Frenzy. Other games come on perfectly. Is it necessarily the switch or could it just be dirty contacts? For example, all my atarisoft games, Donkey Kong, a few others all come on, on the first try. And I know my Mr. Do is dirty. (Don't make dumb jokes about that last sentence please )
