classics
I have a raw dump of a mode E image, no headers or color information. Is there a paint program on the Atari or PC that can be used to edit such a screen and still output the raw image data? Steve
Wrathchild
Doesn't the Atari Artist cart that comes with the touch tablet load/save this sort of image? The emulators support the tablet so you could do the work on a PC.
Kr0tki
That's true. Although The Atari Artist/Koala Microillustrator has its own compressed-image format, it has ability to load/save raw data. When you press '>' while editing image, it saves uncompressed data without headers to file D:PICTURE. You can also load the D:PICTURE image by pressing '<'. Let's say it's a kind of a clipboard Kr0tki
Tezz
Blazing paddles will load with or without header and will resave in standard formats with header and colour info. Alternativly you could save the memory area where the screen data resides whilst in Atari800Win. I've used this many times. It is very handy in reverse also, such as in the old GED program, which was a similar to G2F was not tollerant of the AnticE files you could load in raw or otherwise so I used to just "Put" the raw data into the memory location in the emulator from a PC file.
