bcprs1
I was at an antique store the other day and notice out of the corner of my eyes the Atari 5200 logo. I took a look and found the box for a 5200 trak ball. Unfortunately it was only filled with old 8-tracks. I put the box back and didn't think much of it. I got talking to someone else on Atariage and they mentioned the empty box might be worth something. Anyways, it was in decent shape, a little worn. How much do you think it is worth? I don't collect 5200, therefore I'm a bit clueless on value.
MrRetroGamer
Couple of bucks at most, maybe a bit more if it has the 2 foam/cardbaord inserts.
Ferris
If youre a 5200 collector you may want to snag that box. Sure its really only worth a few bucks depending on condition, but youre alot more likely to encounter an unboxed 5200 trak-ball later on down the road than a nice boxed one.... so this could help complete your collection. Chances are the store clerk just thought of it as another random box... coulda been a milk carton coulda been a coca-cola palate. If you just ask and be like "hey can I snag this box?" they'd probly just let you have it.
+Allan
I'd be interested in the box if you didn't want it and wanted to make a few bucks. I have the trackball but no box and have been looking for one for a while. Allan
