atarimind
Hey world, I was wondering which do you think is the hardest Activision game to find/ buy (NTSC)? Based on the atariage rank, it should be River Raid II, but I am having a lot of problems in getting a copy of Cosmic Commuter. From hardest to easiest, these are the top three for me: 1) Cosmic Commuter 2) River Raid II 3) Double Dragon What do you think?
CPUWIZ
CIB?
atarimind
I am currently collecting loose carts..... but is there any difference?
Breakpack
CIB? I've never heard of CIB.What year did they make it??
CPUWIZ
LOL CIB: Cosmic Commuter Loose: River Raid II Don't ask me why.
Gateway
A loose Beamrider is the only title I'm still missing for Activision( NTSC titles). Everything else has been somewhat easy to locate for me.
sku_u
Loose: River Raid II Must be a regional thing. I had quite a few extra loose River Raid II carts at one point. The hardest for me to find around these parts loose was Commando.
UK WOMBLE
ugh... beamrider and cosmic commuter, i still dont have them Ive got a couple of loose river raid 2's already... (Yes, ntsc not pal ) Si
Philflound
Sometimes when people post things, I don't know if they are joking or don't know what is being talked about. CIB = complete in box Anyway, I can't say which I think is the hardest. I have 2 different Commandos, Cosmic Commuter I have loose. I got RR II and HERO boxed. Can't remember if my Beamrider is boxed or not. Private Eye is not that easy to get either. Also, I'd throw in Rampage, since I've only had one of those in my life too. All of the above I've never come across more than one except for Commando, which I have 2 different labels. Phil
Bruce Tomlin
Hmm... well, my copy of River Raid II was CIB. And I'm not going out of my way to collect CIB. Maybe RRII is rare, but most of them came from clearance bins?
birdie3
I still have yet to see any Bridge, Checkers, or Fishing Derby in the wild. I would bet that it is indeed a regional thing because those are supposed to be really common. I've got a loose Private Eye cart for anyone who can trade it for a loose NTSC 7800 Commando cart. Voch
I'm down to just needing Double Dragon. Voch
Red 5
I have been trying to get a loose Cosmic Commuter and Rampage forever. They are wiley and elusive.
Keir
Rampage was the last Activision game I acquired to complete my US Activision collection. However, I would tend to agree with CPUWIZ. Cosmic Commuter is definitely the hardest to find CIB. Loose is harder to determine, but I would lean toward RR2 too. A store near me has a whole stack of sealed Double Dragons so it's not that. Bridge I've come across a couple of times, probably 3-4 over my buying career. Checkers is a lot tougher, though I think I've pulled in 3 of those too. All are available from my website. bobafett07728
I still need: Cosmic Commuter River Raid II Double Dragon Rampage That's the order I'd put them in for me. I'm only looking for loose. They show up every now and then on eBay, I just haven't been in the bidding mood for them yet. Only time will tell. . . Lauren Tyler
I've still got way too many Activision titles left to collect, but the ones I'm after the most are: River Raid 2 Dragster Tennis Boxing H.E.R.O.
Dolt
I just finished my loose Activision collection last week. Rampage was the last one I needed; before that, I found River Raid II sealed in a game specialty store, and before that I found Double Dragon sealed in a store that didn't realize what it had. Regardless, I've been collecting for 10 years and in New York, I've never seen Rampage, Beamrider or Commando in the wild; I had to get 'em off ebay. Cap5750
The hardest for me to find are those that I do not look for. Cap
Robert M
Would anyone be interested in an empty Commando box with instructions? I know where I can get one. Its in pretty good shape too. I thought I hit gold, but then the cart was missing. PM me if you want me to pick it up. Cheers!
+Mitch
I still need five carts to finish my loose Activision collection. Cosmic Commuter, Double Dragon, Private Eye, Pressure Cooker, and River Raid 2. Mitch

MattyXB
Kaboom! PAL Version. I have long time think, that this game exist only as NTSC, till I found one.
Mindfield
Cosmic Commuter was easier to find for me than some others. The ones that were the hardest for me to find were Rampage and Double Dragon. River Raid II I've come across a few times, even sold a dupe recently.
