woodyi76
Is there some kind of divise for this problem. I bought a PAL version of Gas Hog and I want to know how I can play it. Or do I have to move to another country to play it?

moycon
Ive never had a PAL game but I thought I read that if you have a tv where you can adjust the vertical hold on it, that the games are playable...Dont know if this is fact or not though. slapdash
Adjusting the vertical hold WILL stop the picture from rolling so you can play the game. However, colors may be off, and the bottom of the screen might not be visible. But the game will work.
Ze_ro
Will running a PAL signal through a VCR convert it to an NTSC signal? I'd assume this would depend on the VCR itself, but this is news to me... I'll have to try this out with my Supercharger... --Zero
digitalpress
Three different scenarios for the PAL collector with NTSC televisions (I collect PAL games too!): 1) BEST CASE: you have a television that doesn't recognize the difference, and PAL games play fine. I have a TV like this, as does Al Backiel. Mine is circa 1989 but I have no idea why it doesn't "roll" like the others. 2) USUAL CASE: you have a television set with a vertical hold knob (as Russ mentions above), that you'll have to fiddle with a bit. 3) WORST CASE: you have a television set that "rolls" AND no vertical hold. Our big-screen works this way. Alas, no Gas Hog on that set Hope this helps!
