4ever2600 Posted October 17, 2004 Share Posted October 17, 2004 Hello! I have a Sega CDX unit that powers up fine and plays carts fine. BUTTTT (There is always a butt!) With no cart in, it boots up the Sega CD portion of the game, says 'checking disc', and immediately goes to 'no disc' sign, even with a sega cd or music cd in it... HELP! Is there any kind of diagnostic mode on these you can run or something? As well, it doesn't appear that the laser itself isn't moving back or forth... I think it might be a blown cd motor...
