killersquirel
Hello, I was playing my cc2 and I loaded up a game called meteoroids (proto) for the 2600. I remember playing this before, but I completely forgot any history of this game. Who made it? The game is a solid asteroids clone that shows the score and thew ship reserve on the screen at all times. The graphics style is also pretty cool, and it would be great to see more homebrews have this look. The game plays well also, the collision detection is a little touchy in shooting the asteroids, but no so much that it detracts from the game. What are your thoughts on this? -mike
ubersaurus
It's the prototype of a released Supercharger game, and I think it's the superior version, of course.

mos6507
It's the prototype of a released Supercharger game Suicide Mission The gameplay is pretty different in the final Suicide Mission. The physics of the ship are different for one thing. I consider Meteroids an entirely different game. To me, it's at least as different as Haunted House is to Adventure. killersquirel
That's where I remember that from. That game is great. Why hasn't there been any other games produced in that style. I would love to see game like major havok done in that style. Or maybe even a battlezone clone. Really any vector game would look great done on the 2600 in that style. -mike
