Genki
I sure don't remember a metal switch box from Jags. AFAIK everyone stopped including metal switch box with the system when Nintendo came out with auto RF.

Sorry, I usually keep AOL minimized. I don't know if the Jaguar had a metal switchbox or not. I just looked up the part number CA010112 and that part number is for the Jaguar switchbox. +Mitch
OK, I did a bit more searching and I think I found what you are talking about. The Jaguar listing I found earlier was apparently just switchboxes that were compatible with the Jaguar. The one I think you are talking about is "The Atari Deluxe Switch Box" it has SWITCH BOX CAO10112 at one end of the label and it's metal. It has a both a 300 ohm and 75 ohm input and 300 ohm output. Does that sound like it? Apparently it wasn't sold with any console but was available in stores as an upgrade. It should work fine with the 2600. +Mitch
OK, since a couple people asked. I scanned the picture from the Best Electronics catalog. I hope it's clear enough. Mitch http://atari7800.atari.org
atari70s
dat de 1. mitch so this is for the jaguar or what was it originally made for ( all atari or for what system ) when was it first made this particular model?
+Mitch
I don't think it came with any system. It was probably sold seperately as an upgrade for any of the Atari systems. It should work fine with the 2600, 2 port 5200, 7800, and Jaguar. Mitch http://atari7800.atari.org
Ze_ro
The switch I got with my Jaguar doesn't say "Jaguar" anywhere on it. It looks just like your picture Al, but where your's says "Jaguar automatic TV/Game Switch", mine says "Archer automatic TV/Game Switch". It sports a part # of 15-1267A. And this is definitely the one I got with my Jaguar. It's possible I got an early run of Jaguars, since I bought this thing almost as soon as it came out. Or perhaps it's another goofy thing they did in Canada.... --Zero
