Great Hierophant
I don't see why its not possible. Each shield needs only one analog axis and one fire button for every function. An Atari 5200 controller has two analog axes and two fire buttons each. Atari 2600 paddles should be able to be hooked up to each Atari 5200 port with a simple pin converter. Each paddle would simulate the function of one axis and one fire button. Each shield ould then be assigned to a single axis (paddle) and fire button. Remember that an Atari 2600 paddle controller consists of two paddles, each with a fire button. Does Castle Crisis support this, and if not can it be made to do so? Bryan
Nope, CC only supports the "standard" paddle configuration, and I had no dual-paddle controller to base it on. It could be changed pretty easily, but I don't have a whole lot of extra room in the cart for extra options. The A8 version does have a little hidden surprise, though. The up and down joystick pins can be used to connect flashing game LEDs, just like in the arcade. -Bry
