King Atari
Maybe its just my luck, but all my red label carts (except for "Dark Chambers", which is new/sealed) have a peg/tab missing. You know, the little things next to the chip that lock (?) the cart into the system. Is this common with red label carts? I've never had a problem like this with text/picture/silver label carts or anything by a third party. My PAL "Xenophobe" is like this, it's still my favorite game and all, but I kind of like my carts complete. Does this take the value on carts down at all? StanJr
I have 7 Atari Red Labels and none of them are missing the prongs that bracket the PCB. This sounds odd. All but two of my Red Labels are fresh from the box. Sounds like somebody has been snapping off your prongs!!! Owwww! King Atari
One of them I found at a thrift shop ("Jr. Pac-Man") and it's missing one, I figure that it's just because of they're built. I noticed in one of my 7800 carts that one of the prongs was bent back pretty bad, just short of snapping.
StanJr
My Jr. Pac-man has both prongs....that's weird.

King Atari
Hmm, something's going on, maybe I have really bad luck. That or the lady who owns all those shops doesn't like me.
Ze_ro
All my red label games have all their prongs... however, the casing is slightly thicker on them than any other carts I have, so they don't fit as well into the Atari (I have to shove them in pretty hard). I also have a Pole Position II that has a prong bent to one side... since I don't have a 7800 yet, I'm not sure if it's ruined or not. --Zero
King Atari
Ze_ro, That's the 7800 game I had the problem with, carefully bend it back into position and it should be fine (although I was jamming my game into the system before I noticed this and it worked ). Of course, the game is only Pole Position II, so it's pretty likely I'll end up getting another one of these without really trying to --Zero
King Atari
As I said, I rammed mine into the system and it worked before I noticed the problem, all you really need is one prong for it to go in, especially in a regular 2600, you don't need any for a 7800. I'm not sure what to tell you, just be really careful. If all else fails, there's always ebay !
