liveinabin
I think the new Stella is OS X only. Incidentally, what type of Mac you running? If your computer is up to it, it's well worth making the change to OSX now. It doesn't crash for one thing. Oh, and you'll never see an extension conflict, or even an extension ever again! Albert
I think the new Stella is OS X only. Yes, this is correct. You'll need to find a copy of Stella 1.2 (I believe) to use with classic Mac OS. ..Al

sidcrowe
I've got a 1999 iMac DV, and I breifly had an "open box special" eMac whose disc burner crapped out and I took it back. It had OSX and it's a drag. I don't have enough speed for OSX anyway I'm SOL

sidcrowe
Goldenband: I'm playing Elk Attack. Thanks a million Thanks to the rest who showed interest, too. You guys are the best This old Mac is making it happen. Booya!
+thegoldenband
You're very welcome! Stella generally performs very well on these older Macs, though once in a while you'll need to fiddle a bit to get a full 60fps. (I've noticed it tends to run better under OS 8.6, for what it's worth -- "better" in that if I turn off the speed limiter, I get much faster values in 8.6 than I do in 9.2.) caveman
I'm running Stella on 9.2, and I've never had any major problems. Some games might not run, but I got it to run on the first try. Send reply with an email, and I'll send you the version I have.
