Tempest
SCRAM isn't rare at all. Uncommon at best. I wanted it as kid, but my parents thought it might be too complex for a six year old (probably were right). If you want to see something really weird, check out this French Atari nuclear power plant game: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8154509363 Tempest

Shannon
From what I remember SCRAM was a pretty cool game. But it has been a WHILE since I played it. In fact I dont even remember how.
Bill Lange
Basically you watch pumps and water tempitures and adjust the reactor controls with the joystick. Parts break and I believe that there were earthquakes too. I think I have the casette and instructions in storage. WRL
deathtrappomegranate
It is a cool game to have, and it's pretty common. It just fits perfectly with the cold war ethos of the time. Nuclear power and nuclear war were pretty much in your face back then, and this is one of those games that freezes a moment in time. Although it's odd that Missile Command existed well before Star Wars (the US government program, not the movie )...maybe Reagan was an Atari fan? Jeff Lodoen
I believe the ABM treaty allowed deployment in one city. The Soviets chose Moscow while we did not even try. Doubtful if it would work. Missile Command didn't really predict SDI. The sattelite missile-launcher was an offensive weapon. SDI was to destroy missiles in the boost phase with X-ray LASERS, "brilliant pebbles" and other stuff.
