Cousin Vinnie
In this week's game, you pick your better game and got at it, seeing how much you can score. These two shooters' difficulty curves and high scores in the HSC are very close, so the competiton between the two games is fair... It's just a matter of taste. Good luck, here are a few ground rules: ***Game ends Wed night at midnight ***Both games should be played on med difficulty ***Report your score and also which game you achieved it on. Here are the results of Week 25 Yep, whenever a game isn't popular, odds are I'll win it. Yipee! Cousin Vinnie 31,560 Classic Pac 29,800 Trip Cannon 16,510 Goochman 470 Overall points: 1. Classic Pac
and I have a scoring tip for Desert Falcon When you face the boss at the end of the level position your man so it fire just below the lower lip of the boss. Believe it or not you will be able to kill anything it throws at you...execpt for ground based eniemes those you still have to watch out for. All I can suggest then is move to one side and then move back and keep on firing as long as you like.
Classic Pac
I should of said the above tip only works with some level bosses. I also have another tip, besides my new avatar (aren't AIM buddy icons cool) Desert Falcon as I have recently found out again can only be played 2 ways, first is for levels, second is for points. I say this because after playing this game again (in some time, I may add) the longer you take to get to the Sphinx the harder it gets just plain getting there. If you ever played Elevator Action you know what I am talking about

FireTiger
What difficulty level? Tips: DF -check out my codes http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.p...t=desert+falcon (quoted below) Hello, realizing there are the following possible Heiro's and order matters with duplicates allowed... what are you favorite 'special powers/inhibitors', what code, what level, and at what setting? I wonder if there is a correlation between the Heiros and the Power, becides that triplets are nearly always non-points powers. I am really looking for codes that do not give points, perhaps another list. I have not beaten the game yet. -lvl 5 eats me up on novice with the green/yellow tracking wait till you move Scarabs and Vultures. FireTiger
97,347 -mer stupid obelisk! Hints DF: Three birds in level 3 or up is Extra life Killing things for some reason increases the base value of a treasure, picking up the few treasures before the Howling Sphinx for some reason multiplies the treasure value. Know how many of each treasure you have collected, its in to bottom middle, notice that after the Howling Sphinx the ratio of the treasure that you have collected the most for to the other treasures is low... Never play two player, as the second player with someone that can get to level 4-5 ...you start off with lvl one speed and level 4-5 baddies! (someone needs to fix this in a hack!) Minis are worth 1000 pts each...kill 10 for a quick extra life You can only carry the spirit of so many treasure hunting falcons at once (lives) The max is 7, not counting the one you use now. (someone needs to fix this in a hack!)
RJ
Can we just use the scores we got in previous HSCs?
FireTiger
IMHO that's cheating to use previous scores, once I got a tone of points on midnight magic (2600 HSC) but didn't post em...
