Aqua Teen Hunger Force actual 2600 cart?

I'm sure that alot of you out there watch

AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE on Adult Swim,

late at night on Cartoon Network, right?

 

 

So you know the pixelated characters

known as the Mooninites, right?

 

Why hasn't anyone with a yen for programming

gone and done an Aqua Teen / Mooninites

2600 game that could be a ROM, a cart for

sale, etc etc? It'd be a great tie-in!

there are more great ideas for homebrew VCS games then there are programmers willing to spend the time needed to complete the games (for very little reward i may add)

 

besides, if there is any Aquateen inspired homebrew game to be made, my choice would be Video Ouiji

The original idea for the Mooninites was that they were supposed to be renegade characters from a VCS game, but the writers said that they couldn't do all of the background on them in a 12 minute cartoon.

 

If you notice, however, they think everything from about 25 years ago is "superior"... like they were from the early 80's. Pretty funny...

Just to add to what the last poster said. I read the original idea was that

after Atari buried those cartridges in an Arizona landfill these wierd

creatures mutated.... but they couldnt make the story brief enough (the

episodes are only like 11 minutes long) so they just decided to make

them come from the moon.

 

I never noticed they think everything from 25 years ago is superior, I

know they think everything from the moon is superior:

Holy crap, that's funny has hell.. has anyone watched that episode where Meatwad plays Video Ouiji? He's playing on a wood grain Atari 2600!

 

Damn, someone really SHOULD do Video Ouiji, or Insult Master 3000.

 

You could have Shake, and the Moonenites, etc!

First thing I would do would be to e-mail Adult Swim and ask them for permission. Maybe I'll get a response?

I'm very supportive of an idea like this.

 

If a game can be made for Homestar Runner, I don't see why there can't be a game for ATHF.
