vespertillio
Ok I found some groovy things today. A Hozer cart from one of the Philly Classics called QB and a Superkicks/Artillery Duel double ender. Normally I don't see cool things like this in my haunts. Couple these with some others and a set of WICO NES paddles and you can call me a happy camper. V
Tempest
Weird! That Hozer QB cart is from PC 2! I wonder how the hell it got out in the wild, you wouldn't think a collector would dump his stuff in a flea market. Tempest
vespertillio
Thats what I thought too. I wonder if someones mom found his/her stuff and sold it. Here is a pic.
Philflound
Hmm. Maybe his wife/mom got pissed and put them out in the garage sale. hehe Phil
vespertillio
Even cooler I got some I didn't have (including the above) Ram it, Flash Gordon, Pigs in Space, M.A.D., and a few Colecovision carts. It was indeed a good day.
Mindfield
A Homebrew in the wild. That's gotta be a first. Nice job on the others, too, particularly Ram-It. Not your run-of-the-mill wild find.
video game addict
Actually no. Mendon found some last year. Still quite uncommon. I'm wondering if someone has kept a registry of the Qb carts? That is #7, must of been one of the first in line for it! Pretty freakin strange.
moycon
SOoooo How much was it for the lot?
Susuwatari
Maybe it was stolen and the thief ended up dumping it because it wasn't worth much at all?
Albert
Wow, that Qb cart is truly an unusual find! That is one of the original run of numbered carts, and there was a Qb registry that I believe was online at Andrew Davie's site at one point. I'm sure he'd be able to tell us who originally owned #7. I'd love to get my hands on one of these, since I did not attend PhillyClassic 2 (PC3 was my first). ..Al

I think I'm bemused, definitely surprised! The original owner was Dan Agnew. Cheers A
MegaManFan
Hopefully Dan's out there somewhere with a story to tell - I'm sure it's a good one!
Lord Helmet
Speaking of Hozer carts...how many of you have one that would be considered rare...?
vespertillio
Wow, I didn't know these things had names associated with them. Suddenly I'm sensing a disturbance with my karmic mojo. If this was not supposed to be (and I'm assuming not) given/thrown/cleaned out by whatever means I would have no problems in making sure this gets back to it's rightful owner. Keep me posted. MegaManFan
There aren't many carts out there that have an "ownership list" but first-release editions of Qb and Okie Dokie would definitely be among them. It's part of the reason the carts have maintained their value as collectibles despite the fact they've since been re-released - the first edition is still exclusive. In Okie Dokie's case, the # of the release was even coded into the game itself.
Godzilla
lol wow thats hilarious. Never would have thought i'd see homebrews being found in the wilds! hope my okie dokie never makes it to the fleas :-)
MegaManFan
I've often thought of sticking a homebrew in a garage sale box just for laughs, and then when somebody asked me the price I'd go "Whoops! That's not for sale" and pull it out.
+cvga
Speaking of Hozer carts...how many of you have one that would be considered rare...? I have a Hozer Skeleton cart. I thought I had read that he only made and shipped two of them before leaving the atari scene.
SS
I have a Hozer Skeleton cart. I thought I had read that he only made and shipped two of them before leaving the atari scene. That was my understanding. I don't think that there's any way to ascertain if he's sold any since going "underground" though.
StanJr
I have the Tin Box edition of the Hozer Marble Craze (the quality of the cart label is sub par, the sad thing is already bubbling and peeling off!) Other than that the tin is sweet and the game is exceptional!
Mayhem
Likewise the tin version of Marble Craze. I actually ended up with the last copy Paul had. Pity he had so many problems with the boards @ CGE, mine had to be replaced but everything worked eventually.
Lord Helmet
The only Hozer carts I have are A Better Pac-Man, and INV...which are probably pretty common.
+cvga
I also have a Hozer minesweeper and EdTris. I don't know how rare they are though.
StanJr
I have an Edtris too, early looking one, with paper label. says 1995
