HSC2 2 Pole Position

I've played at 60Hz and have to admit, that the time runs faster.

But the "floating" of the game is more playable. The cause for this might be the higher frame rate. The game is faster, and it can be played faster (more precisely), because the movement is a 'step more' realistic.

I played on PAL and didnt break a sweat getting 107K again - The timing makes its alot harder IMHO since 1 mistake can end your game in NTSC where on PAL it might not be as precise but the clock isnt working against you as hard - Just my observations.

Our scores at our monthly WGL meeting where we play ATARI games

Mad Butscher 102500

Wizard 102400

Grisu 100750

Bunsen 97050

Grisu's screenshot was bad, so I cannot attach it.

That night we also played Pole Position with the usb wheel and the usb cartridge of ABBUC :)

It's much more harder to play with the wheel, but it's really fun :) :)

For comparison our scores with usb wheel:

Wizard 87950

Bunsen 63450

Grisu 50900

Mad Butscher 43950

105,750 on NTSC. 179 cars passed but you can't count on a high time bonus at all :(

You are very close to the max possible score on NTSC - I would bet 106,xxx is the max for a perfect no break no crash run :)

Can you get around that big corner without braking? I always crash there.

It is possible to do, however with cars its impossible - I dont brake but hit the LF side of the road to slow down :)
