Mean Hamster goodness!

It is always nice to see more 5200 support.

Rent Wars looks like a fun concept! This is the first I've heard of it.

I think the renamed rereleases concept is interesting. I would hope that rather than simple rereleases, Mean Hamster would tweak each game some way. A game author always leaves something out that he didn't have time for, or thinks of improvements after the game is "done".

What do you all think? Would you rather have a renamed rerelease or a tweaked new game?

Well, a tweaked new game would probably benefit the programmer, because people would be more likely to buy a game twice if the new version had some significant upgrades, rather than just a new label and splash screen. And better sales for the programmer means more cash to launch new projects.

Rent Wars is a completed but previously unreleased title from First Star.

I guess its Ok to talk about it since John has posted the information. It plays very will for two players and seems 100% complete to me. I'm not sure why First Star didnt release it earlier, it definatly would have sold well.

Perhaps the people backing it didnt have faith in the product. A game with the word RENT in it wouldn't have inspired me to rush out and buy it back in the day. Thats only speculation though.

Do you have any more info on this game? Was this programmed for the 8-bits? Sounds interesting?

Looking forward to the boulderdash games.
