S.T.U.N. Runner and MAME

I have tried every ROM of Stun Runner in MAME and none of them seem to work. Does anyone know of any Stun Runner issues?

Seems to work perfectly fine for me, and as far as I can tell, nothing has changed with the STUN Runner driver since it was added to MAME... What exactly does the game do for you? Keep in mind that it will just sit at a black screen for a short while before the game actually starts... this only lasts a few seconds on my system (1.8 GHz Sempron), but may last significantly longer if you have a slow system.

 

MAME can test your rom for you if you're worried you might have a bad copy of the rom... the process is different depending on what version of MAME you're using though.

Be more specific about "doesn't work", what exactly happens, and what are your system specs?

aw he probably just still has a bad romset. Did you verify it at all? In mame32 just highlight it and hit 'alt-a' to check it (audit). Or.. heck, use clrmamepro like the rest of us.

STUN Runner's ROM images were totally overhauled a few versions back.
