2600 Lord of the Rings on cart challenge...

Hey gang,

I just got a message from Randy at Hozer Video. Seems that the bankswitching Parker Brothers used for Lord of the Rings is different from the bankswitching Atari normally used and he can't get it burned onto a cart.

So, my challenge is this: has *anyone* gotten LOTR burned and working onto a 2600-compatible cart? Any one want to try it?

Confirmed. Parker's bank-switching method is much more sophisticated than the standard Atari. More more information about the various bank-switching type can be found here:

That link doesn't seem to work anymore. Does anyone know what happened to Kevin Horton's website?

I was referring to the "No LOTR from Hozer" thing... it's cool that the Cuttle Cart works with it, but I'd still rather have the game on it's own cartridge with a label and all.

Just put a nice LOTR label on an old Combat card and play with the Cuttle Cart
