Mr Egg
im considering moving from virgin mobile prepay to a monthly fee provider. one of my considerations for a provider is the ability to download emulated games into the phone. the websites for most providers are not forthcoming with lists of available games . t mobile has the PDA type devices like sideckick II but cant find any info on using it as a playing machine . games im interested in for playing on the phone is clasic arcade like tetris and burgertime. any suggestions
SteveW
I've got an N-Gage, and there are Commodore 64, NES, and Sinclair Spectrum emulators for it, along with a port of MESS. I haven't fooled around with them too much, though. The C64 one needs me to type in the name of the game I want to play, and I couldn't figure out how to type letters with the keypad. The NES emu has to be paid for, and I'm not all that interested in the NES anyway, so I haven't tried it. And I can't get MESS to work on my Mac, so I haven't bothered with the N-Gage version. I'm sure that Tetris is downloadable from somewhere, but I'm not sure about Burgertime. But if MESS works, you can play the original arcade version on your phone if you want. +karri
The gameboy emulation works pretty well on the n-gage. But my favourite is frozen bubbles. It is free to use for the n-gage and other similar phones. -- karri

guitarmas
Actually the Genesis emulator is 99% speed accurate but no sound and the Snes only runs about 10fps.
