bradjewell
I did a BJL mod on my jag, and everyting was fine. The BJL rom and regular rom can load up... and i can load games off the rom that are preloaded. When I upload from the cable, and the jag recieves the file, the game screen is there, but it rolls. what could possibliy cause this? Any suggestions? Thanks, Brad

justclaws
Hello Brad, I did a BJL mod on my jag, and everyting was fine. Any suggestions? Which game? Try uploading a different game. :-) 1 or 2 demos are hardcoded for 60hz, and act strangely if run at 50hz. Native is one, our Team Franglais Bounce another. I'd be happy to chat and debug situation over ICQ if you IM me. Regarding the blue LED, it sounds as though the power getting to it is too much, so I guess it's more lower-power than the previous one, and so I think you'll have to put a small resistor in-line to save it. I guess it's worth PM'ing Stone here, because he's done those mods. Cheers, JustClaws.
Stone
You rang? Probably too much current through the LED - try replacing the series resistor (on the underside of the board, from what I remember) for a higher-value one. Other things to try: - Different brand - Different voltage (all diodes drop a certain amount of voltage across them, which varies depending on what they're made out of. If the difference is too large compared to the diode you're replacing the resistor won't protect it fully and it'll die. I've seen LEDs sold with different 'forward voltage' listed - try a different one) - Not using a blue LED [other colours are made differently and have different forward voltage] Failing that you might have just hit a bad diode. You could try replacing it to see if the new one dies as well, but if it's too bright (indicating overcurrent and a premature death in the works) a higher-value resistor should fix things. Anywhere upwards of the existing value is fine, try 1k. Stone
